Art Center Ahjo, Sysi Hall: Ars Nova

The Ars Nova Art Association’s annual exhibition Night Thoughts is on display in Joensuu at Art Center Ahjo from 13 July to 31 July 2022. The exhibition is curated by visual artist Hanneriina Moisseinen.

The theme ‘Night Thoughts’ contains mysticism and, why not revealed secrets too. Night Thoughts asks what are you thinking when others can't see? What is the train of thought like at the border of wakefulness and sleep or perhaps in a dream?

The artists in the exhibition are Anna Arminen, Annamari Kinnunen, Katriina Kaija, Mari Liimatainen, Raija Marttinen, Maisa Tikkanen, Esa Tuomiranta and Hanna Vahvaselkä. The artists also coincidentally show the regional influence of Ars Nova ry: the artists are from Mikkeli, Juva, Rantasalmi, Savonlinna and Joensuu.

Ars Nova ry has received support for its 2022 exhibition activities from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland and the city of Savonlinna.
