For me, a garden is a state of mind. I am not describing certain plants, but the all-encompassing power of nature and green, and on the other hand, the delicate organic life of rhizomes, which parallels the subconscious longing to be a stronger part of nature. Sometimes it's dark in my garden; the colors glow from the dark paradise as if to invite you to a mystical story where everything is not as it seems. I often associate dreams in my mental images with vegetation that does not obey the orderliness of everyday life but sprawls with its own power, finding its own routes. While working on the works in the exhibition, I have been particularly inspired by Lana Del Rey's music, it brings me strong images and helps me immerse myself in the worlds of the paintings. I am a visual artist from Jyväskylä, FM art educator and visual arts teacher. I am a member of Taidemaalariliitto and Muu r.y., as well as Jyväskylä Artists' Society. My exhibition coincides with the Jyväskylä Artists' Society's "Värisuhteita" exhibition in the Sysi -hall, which I have been involved in curating and planning.
