Miia and Roosa Ikimeri's "Feminine-like" art exhibition at Taidekeskus Ahjo challenges the viewer to think about their own relationship with femininity. What am I made of as a woman, what do I want to hold on to and what do I want to let go of? What is femininity and do I have to accept what others offer me as femininity? Through whose eyes do I look at femininity? Can femininity be summed up in a mold or phrases? What is passed down from generation to generation as a model of femininity? Is femininity gendered? Is femininity linked to fragility, beauty or sexuality? Should femininity be pursued?
