Illustrator and animation artist Nadja Koshevenko presents Bloom, a visually captivating exhibition where traditionally crafted frame-by-frame animations bloom into vivid, organic worlds.

The animations featured in the exhibition are drawn entirely by hand using gouache, watercolours, and inks made by the artist herself. These handmade inks are created from mushrooms, plants, and other natural elements, lending the works not only visual richness but also a tangible connection to nature. Nature plays a central role in Bloom, not only in the choice of materials, but thematically as well. The animations and drawings unfold through dreamlike movement, landscapes, and botanical imagery, drawing the viewer into a rhythm that is both organic and intimate.

The title Bloom refers to a personal transition in the artist’s life. The completion of one stage and the quiet emergence of a new one. The works serve as visual traces of growth, surrender, and transformation, a moment when a flower opens in full bloom before life moves forward in a new form. The exhibition features both animations and the drawings behind them, offering a glimpse into the artist’s handcrafted process and visual thinking.
