"I want to make people think about where we come from, where we are and where we are going? What have we inherited from our ancestors and what is left of it and will there be anything left of it for our descendants?"

The exhibition consists of several paintings, installations and the media work Nam Natura (Latin/Finnish: For Nature). Kalliokuusi aims to describe the spiritual relationship between man and nature, the heritage we have received from our ancestors throughout the ages: pure nature and its importance for spiritual well-being. The goal is to inspire viewers to explore their personal history from this starting point.

The works are mostly made of recycled and natural materials, including the coloring agents of the paintings. Kalliokuusi has been a nature activist almost his entire life, and her artistic production almost always takes a stand for nature. Last years Kalliokuusi has worked as a curator for e.g. at the Saimaan Taideluola Retretti, Art Äkäslompolo ry in Kolari and she is the chairman of the board of the Helsinki Artists' Society. She has had exhibitions both in Finland and abroad.
